This is a true and correct L-79 wagon I purchased in August of 2005. I found this car on Ebay and purchased it from Steve Wilson from Perkasie Pennsylvania after auction ended. I was the high bidder and I had talked to him during the auction. Immediately after the auction ended we talked and an agreement to purchase the car was set up. The risk of this car being a bogus car at that time was quite real even with very good pictures and descriptions by Steve. The parts dates and numbers were compelling but the P.O.P was not there and the build sheet was not legible (other than the vin number and color of interior and exterior). I have never seen an L-79 wagon and no one could tell me of any L-79 wagons. When I received the car my doubts were lifted. The possibility of this 26,000 mi car being a collection of dated parts put together by someone to bring a high price was 99.99% impossible. There are two issues with the car that need some more investigation, the shifter and the exhaust. These I will research more about and put on my website for everyone to enjoy along with the restoration process (see below for download). I have many pictures of this car and many stories and facts from previous owners and Nova experts. (see Journal and Date Coded Parts below.) The value of this one of a kind piece of GM history is hard to estimate. To me it is priceless and has changed my hobby into much more. The best quote I have heard to describe this car was by Jay Leno. He said, "You don't find cars, they find you". How true.
