Carob Peanut Butter Bars

1/2 cup carob powder
2/3 cup soy powder
2 tablespoon organic flax oil
1/4 cup peanut butter
2 tablespoons brewers yeast, optional
2 tablespoon wheat germ
raw honey
chopped walnuts and almonds to top
  • Place all ingredients in a bowl, adding enough honey to make a kneadable consistency.
  • Spread in a square pan. Press the chopped nuts over the top. Chill.
  • Cut into bars and serve.

Cherry Power Smoothie made with organic flax seed

1/2 cup grape juice
1/2 cup cherry juice (opt)
1 1/2 cups frozen, dark cherries
1 banana, cut up
1 cup plain, nonfat yogurt
1/2 cup cottage cheese
1/4 cup golden flaxseed
2 tbl raw wheat germ
2-4 tbl flaxseed oil
1-2 tbl honey
  • Put everything in a blender, blend 2 minutes. Makes 2 tall glasses. This comes together in a matter of minutes and is great for lunch. But Watch Out-- It's Addictive!!! :-)

Blueberry Almond Smoothie made with organic flax oil

1 cup frozen blueberries
1 frozen banana
1/4 cup raw almonds
2 tablespoons organic flax oil
2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
1 cup water or rice milk
  • In a blender, combine ingredients in order listed and puree to a smooth consistency.

Chocolate Nutty Bar (tastes just like the little debbie treat)

1 bag "Regular" Flax Crackers
1 jar Natural Peanut Butter
1 bag Milk Chocolate chips
  • Spread Peanut Butter on Flax Crackers
  • Sprinkle with Chocolate chips
  • Enjoy!!

Try with Carob powder instead of chocolate for a Vegan Delight!!

Soy-Berry Smoothie

Serves 1 / This creamy, protein- and antioxidant-filled smoothie would be a fortifying way to begin your day. Whole flaxseed, which provides essential fats and fiber, can be ground in a coffee grinder or bought as flaxmeal. For a tangy flavor, substitute fruit juice for the soy milk.

1 cup plain soy milk
2 tablespoons nonfat plain or vanilla yogurt
1/2 cup strawberries, fresh or frozen
1/4 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen
1/3 frozen banana
3 ice cubes
  • Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
